Digital Signage
Display dynamic content on TVs in your store — product promotions, text announcements, and more.
Navigate to Configuration > Digital Signage in the sidebar.
Overview
Digital Signage has three components:

| Slides | Individual content pieces (images, text, promotions, products) |
| Playlists | Collections of slides that rotate automatically |
| Displays | Physical screens assigned to a playlist |
Creating Slides
Go to the Slides tab and click Add Slide.
Slide Types
| Type | Use Case |

| Image | Upload a custom image or enter an image URL |
| Text | Custom text with background and text colors |
| Promotion | Display a deal or discount |
| Product | Showcase a specific product |
Slide Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A label for the slide (internal use) |
| Title | Main heading displayed on the slide |
| Subtitle | Secondary text |
| Description | Additional body text |
| Background Color | Slide background color (color picker) |
| Text Color | Color for text overlays |
| Duration | How long the slide is displayed, in seconds |
| Transition | Animation between slides: fade, slide, zoom, or none |
| Active | Toggle the slide on or off |
Creating Playlists
Go to the Playlists tab and click Add Playlist.

| Default | Set as the default playlist for new displays |
| Active | Toggle the playlist on or off |
Creating Displays
Go to the Displays tab and click Add Display.

| Name | Display name (e.g., "Front Window TV") |
| Location | Physical location (e.g., "Sales Floor") |
| Playlist | Which playlist to show (or "Use Default Playlist") |
| Orientation | Landscape or Portrait |
| Show Clock | Toggle a clock overlay on the display |
| Active | Toggle the display on or off |
Each display is assigned a unique access code and a URL. Use the Copy URL button to get the display link, or click Preview to open it in a new tab.
Setting Up a Display on a TV
- Create your slides with the content you want to show.
- Create a playlist and add your slides to it.
- Create a display and assign the playlist.
- Copy the display URL.
- On your TV or media player, open a web browser and navigate to the URL.
- Set the browser to full-screen mode (F11).
The display will automatically rotate through the playlist slides.
Hardware Options
Any device with a web browser can be used:
- Smart TV built-in browser
- Amazon Fire TV Stick
- Chromecast with Google TV
- Raspberry Pi or Intel NUC
- Dedicated digital signage player
Tips
- Keep it simple — 5-7 slides per playlist is ideal.
- Set appropriate durations — 10-15 seconds for images, 20-30 seconds for text-heavy slides.
- Use high contrast — Ensure text is readable from across the room.
- Update regularly — Refresh promotions and featured products.
- Preview first — Test on a computer before deploying to TVs.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Display not loading | Check internet connection and verify the URL is correct |
| Slides not rotating | Ensure the playlist has multiple active slides; refresh the page |
| Clock showing wrong time | Verify your store timezone in Configuration > Settings > Store tab |
