Mobile App Installation
Install the GreenPOS mobile app on your iOS or Android device for on-the-go access.
What is the Mobile App?
The GreenPOS mobile app is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that provides:
- Dashboard and sales overview
- Inventory management
- Customer lookup
- Cycle counts
- Package scanning
Installation on iOS
Step 1: Open Safari
The mobile app must be installed using Safari browser.
- Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
- Navigate to your GreenPOS URL
- Log in with your credentials
Step 2: Add to Home Screen
- Tap the Share button (square with arrow)
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
- Name the app "GreenPOS"
- Tap Add
Step 3: Launch the App
- Find the GreenPOS icon on your home screen
- Tap to open
- The app opens in full-screen mode
iOS Requirements
- iOS 14 or later
- Safari browser (Chrome won't work for PWA install)
Installation on Android
Step 1: Open Chrome
- Open Chrome browser on your Android device
- Navigate to your GreenPOS URL
- Log in with your credentials
Step 2: Install Prompt
Chrome may show an install prompt automatically. If not:
- Tap the three dots menu (⋮)
- Select Add to Home screen or Install app
- Confirm installation
Step 3: Launch the App
- Find GreenPOS in your app drawer or home screen
- Tap to open
- App opens in standalone mode
Staff Mobile Access
Enabling Mobile Access
Managers can enable mobile access for staff:
- Go to Settings → API Integrations
- Find Mobile Dashboard Access
- Click Generate Access Token
- Share the link with staff

- Perform inventory counts
- Scan packages
- Submit count results
Offline Capabilities
The mobile app works with limited connectivity:

Troubleshooting
App Won't Install
iOS:
- Must use Safari, not Chrome
- Check iOS version (14+)
- Try clearing Safari cache
Android:
- Use Chrome browser
- Enable "Add to Home screen" in settings
- Check Chrome is up to date
App Shows Blank Screen
- Clear app cache
- Remove and reinstall
- Check internet connection
- Verify login credentials
Camera Not Working
- Grant camera permissions when prompted
- Check device settings → GreenPOS → Camera
- Restart the app
Security
Session Management
- Sessions expire after inactivity
- Automatic logout after 24 hours
- Can force logout from desktop
Device Management
View connected devices:
- Go to Settings → Security
- See all active sessions
- Revoke access if needed
