Customer Management

GreenPOS provides comprehensive customer management to help you build relationships, track purchases, and maintain compliance.

Customer Dashboard

Access customer management from the main navigation by clicking Customers.

Customer List Features

  • Search: Find customers by name, phone, or ID
  • Filters: Filter by customer type, loyalty status, or registration date
  • Quick Actions: View profile, add to sale, or edit details

Adding a New Customer

  1. Click Add Customer button
  2. Fill in required information:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Date of Birth (for age verification)
    • Phone Number
  3. Add optional information:
    • Email address
    • Medical card number (if applicable)
    • Notes
  4. Click Save Customer
Age Verification

GreenPOS automatically calculates age from date of birth and displays verification status on the customer profile.

Customer Types

RecreationalStandard adult-use customer (21+)

CaregiverAuthorized to purchase for patients

Customer Profile

Click on any customer to view their complete profile:

Profile Sections

  1. Contact Information

    • Phone, email, address
    • Edit anytime as needed
  2. Purchase History

    • Complete transaction history
    • Total spend and visit count
    • Favorite products
  3. Loyalty Points (if enabled)

    • Current point balance
    • Points earned/redeemed history
    • Available rewards
  4. Notes

    • Staff notes about customer
    • Preferences and special requests

Importing Customers

To import customers from another system:

  1. Go to SettingsImport/Export
  2. Select Import Customers
  3. Upload CSV file with required columns:
    • first_name
    • last_name
    • phone
    • date_of_birth
  4. Map columns if needed
  5. Click Import

Customer Lookup at POS

During a sale, you can quickly add a customer:

  1. Click Add Customer on the POS screen
  2. Search by name or phone
  3. Select the customer
  4. Customer is now attached to the sale

This enables:

  • Purchase history tracking
  • Loyalty point accumulation
  • Compliance reporting
  • Personalized service
