Getting Started with GreenPOS

This guide will help you get up and running with GreenPOS in just a few minutes.

Logging In​

Step 1: Open GreenPOS​

Navigate to your store's GreenPOS URL in your web browser:

https://greenpos.io/s/your-store-slug

Step 2: Enter Your Credentials​

  1. Enter your username
  2. Enter your password
  3. Click Sign In
Forgot Password?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login screen to receive a password reset email.

Step 3: Select Your Store​

If you have access to multiple stores, you'll see a store selector:

Click on the store you want to work with.

Understanding the Interface​

The main navigation is on the left side of the screen:

The top bar shows:

  • Current store name
  • Your user profile
  • Notifications
  • Quick search

Your First Sale​

Let's walk through making your first sale:

1. Open the POS​

Click Sales in the navigation sidebar.

2. Add Products​

Option A: Search

  • Type the product name in the search bar
  • Click the product to add it

Option B: Scan Barcode

  • Use your barcode scanner
  • Product is added automatically

3. Add Customer (Optional)​

Click Add Customer to attach a customer to the sale:

  1. Search by name, phone, or license
  2. Click the customer to select

4. Complete the Sale​

  1. Verify the total
  2. Click Checkout
  3. Select payment method
  4. Click Complete Sale

Tips​

  • Barcode scanning: Just scan — the POS automatically captures barcode input and looks up the product.
  • Product search: Start typing anywhere on the POS page and the product search bar auto-focuses.
  • Keyboard navigation: Use Tab / Shift+Tab to move between fields, Enter to confirm, Escape to cancel or close dialogs.
