My Availability
Set when you can or can't work each week so managers can schedule you accurately.
Accessing Your Availability
Navigate to Team > My Availability in the sidebar. This page is available to all roles.
How It Works
By default, employees with no availability entries are considered always available. Add time blocks to restrict when you can be scheduled.
There are two modes:
| Mode | Meaning |
|---|---|
| I'm available during these times | You can ONLY be scheduled during the blocks you set |
| I'm available EXCEPT these times | You can be scheduled anytime EXCEPT the blocks you set |
Choose the mode that requires fewer entries for your situation.
Setting Your Availability
- Select your Availability Mode from the dropdown
- For each day of the week, click the + button to add a time block
- Set the Start Time and End Time for each block
- Add multiple blocks per day if needed (e.g., morning and evening availability)
- Click Save Availability
Example: "Available" Mode
If you're available Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM:
- Add a block to each weekday: 08:00 – 18:00
- Leave Saturday and Sunday empty (not available those days)
Example: "Unavailable" Mode
If you can work anytime except Wednesday evenings:
- Add one block to Wednesday: 17:00 – 23:00
- All other times are available
Removing a Time Block
Click the trash icon next to any time block to remove it, then click Save Availability.
How Managers Use Your Availability
When managers use Auto-fill on the Scheduling page:
- The system checks each employee's availability before assigning shifts
- Employees are only assigned to shifts that fall within their available times
- If a shift can't be filled because no one is available, the manager is notified
Managers can also view all employees' availability when manually creating shifts.
Setting your availability doesn't guarantee you'll be scheduled — it tells managers when you can be scheduled. Final scheduling decisions are made by your manager.
Tips
- Keep it updated — If your availability changes, update it right away so managers have accurate information
- Less is more — If you're generally available, use "unavailable" mode and only mark the times you can't work
- No entries = always available — If you don't set any blocks, managers will assume you can work any time
